Game Description:
  • Gokstad: Norse Strategy is based on the real viking board game of Hnefatafl (translates to “Fist Table”). Hnefatafl predates chess and was played by vikings on their travels, which spawned multiple variations in its ruleset from different regions across Europe. The goal of this game was to create a sense of world space and to establish an atmosphere where the player can feel like a viking playing a game of Hnefatafl as they travel across the open sea.
